Guam’s 20th Annual International Coastal Cleanup
Every year Guam participates in the International Coastal Cleanup organized by the Ocean Conservancy. The cleanup will be from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014. Families and groups of all ages are encouraged to attend. Coastal Cleanup is the largest volunteer event in Guam.
The cleanup is organized by the Guam Coastal Management Program of the Bureau of Statistics and Plans. For more information call event organizer Terry Perez at 475-9668 or email Terry.Perez@bsp.guam.gov
What to bring
- Waterbottle
- Cell phone to call you friends to come to the cleanup
- Gloves if you have them
- Waiver Form (YOU MUST HAVE THIS WHEN YOU REGISTER if you are under the age of 18 and will not have a parent cleaning up with you)

Show up at any of the following sites at 7 a.m. to sign in.
Yigo | Marbo Cave | Backroad to Andersen (Rt. 15), take Macheche Rd. toward the coast, or east. Turn left at the fork in the road. |
Yigo | Tarague | Located on Andersen Air Force Base |
Asan | Asan Shore | Meet just north of the War in the Pacific National Park in Asan. |
Dededo | Okkodo pipeline | Turn toward Okkodo high school and take the small grass road that runs parallel to Rt. 3. |
Tumon | Matapang | Near Holiday Resort in Tumon |
Piti | Piti Shore | Meet at Santos Park on the beach side across from Circle K. |
Agat | Agat Beach | Meet at the Agat Mayor’s Office |
Tamuning | Oka Point | Take the cliffside road to the south of Guam Memorial Hospital. Look for the cleanup along the cliffside. |
Talofofo | Talofofo Bay | Meet at the park at Talofofo Bay. |
Umatac | Umatac Bay | Meet at the Umatac Mayor’s Office. |
Inarajan | Ipan Beach Park | Meet at Ipan Beach Park across from Ipan Village Mart. |
Yona | Tagachang Beach | Going south on Route 4, take the last left turn before the Mobil station in the village. Once on that road, turn right and follow the road down to the beach. |
Mangilao | UOG Marine Lab | Marine Lab is located down the hill behind the University of Guam. Meet behind the Lab at the beach. |
Dededo | Tanguisson Beach | Take the road to Two Lover’s Point all the way down to the beach. |
Tamuning | Dungca’s Beach | Take Gov. Carlos Camacho Rd. toward GMH. Turn left on first real street. Park near chapel and walk past Jimmy Dee’s Beach Bar to the beach. |
Hagatna | Paseo de Susana | Park near the baseball stadium/Chamorro Village and sign in on the north side of the park area. |
Yona | Pago Bay | Going south on Rt. 4 toward Yona. Take the left turn before the entrance to Yona (large huts on both sides of road). Take the first right that is not a private driveway. |
Inarajan | Inarajan Bay | Meet at Inarajan Pools. |
Merizo | Merizo Shore | Meet at Merizo Pier. |
