In 2012, Guam’s recycling rate was 28.13%
This is the second year that Guam’s recycling rate was calculated using calendar year 2011 data from permitted island recyclers, hardfills, Navy and Air Force facilities. Recycling activities covered include recycling and composting of residential and commercial (including military) materials. Construction and demolition debris and reuse were excluded from the calculations, per U.S. EPA’s recycling rate calculation guidance.
