For the Love of Guam

“For the Love of Guam” was our theme for Guam’s Earth Day 2013 celebrations. Loving our island is part of our character. Protecting nature is our attitude. Nature is also the external world including all aspects of the environment. During Earth Day, we will strive to protect all forms of nature, internal and external.

There are many ways to get involved with Earth Day 2014. Come up with a project you are interested in doing as part of the effort next year. If we each take a small step to becoming more sustainable, it will be one large step forward for the environment.

Make Every Day Earth Day

Earth Day 2013 may be over, but we have the opportunity to make every day Earth Day. Here are a few simple things you can do to celebrate the earth all year long

  • Plant a native tree
  • Recycle aluminum, plastic and glass
  • Pick up trash on your street.
