Guam EPA receives award

14 July 2012

The Guam Environmental Protection Agency (Guam EPA) has been honored with the Gold Award for the Best Government of Guam Website by the Association of Government Accountants.

The award recognizes sites that promote transparency and accountability in government.

“Guam EPA will continue to provide information to the public about environmental law, the regulations we enforce and how Guam’s natural resources can be protected,” said Guam EPA Administrator Eric M. Palacios. “We update our website every day and hope the public will
take the time to learn more about our agency through the site.”

Some features of Guam EPA’s site include a comprehensive overview of the programs, projects, permitting processes and outreach events. The site also includes the weekly beach report and recycling guide.
