Guam EPA responds to fuel spill
Around 1:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon Guam EPA staff responded to a reported fuel spill at the Airport Mobil station located on Marine Corps Drive.
The first government agency on the scene was the Guam Fire Department. GFD secured the site and placed absorbent sands on the area where the spill occurred. Responders estimated 25 gallons of fuel were released and properly cleanup up.
Quick response and proper actions at the scene helped ensure public safety and environmental protection. The responsible party, through a contractor, has submitted a final report about the spill, cleanup and repairs to Guam EPA. The case is now considered closed.
