Volunteers needed this weekend

As the final Earth Day 2012 events approach, Guam EPA is looking for volunteers to help with a few of the events.

Please attend these events and volunteer if possible.
- Nurturing Nature Cleanup – Volunteers are needed to help clear areas, plant coffee and other species, around the Island Girl Power clubhouse in Dededo this weekend. The cleanup will be from 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday, April 28. Volunteers will be picking up trash, clearing some trees and helping beautify a park near the clubhouse. Volunteers are asked to wear sturdy shoes, and bring, water, gloves, tools if possible and sunscreen. For more information email guamislandgirlpower@yahoo.com or visit epa.guam.gov.

- Community Cleanup – Volunteers are needed for the second “Stop Illegal Dumping” cleanup organized by JFK, iRecycle, the Dededo Mayors office and Sea Grant. Those interested in helping should meet at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 28 at the bus stop on Bartolu Road near the Dededo Transfer Station.
