About the Analytical Services and Laboratory Program
The Analytical Services Program provides support to the other Divisions within the Agency by providing microbiological, physical and chemical analyses of surface waters, groundwater, marine and recreational waters. The program is also responsible for certifying on and off island drinking water laboratories in accordance with the provisions of the Safe Drinking Water Act. The Laboratory also conducts analyses on water production wells to monitor the quality of the potable water supply of the island. In addition, the Laboratory is certified by the U.S. EPA to conduct microbiological analysis of Coliforms in Drinking Water.
